About Me

For many years my main client has been Internetics Ltd for whom I have worked as chief designer. This has given me experience in iPhone application user interface design, mobile internet development and general web development.

I have also undertaken other freelance work designing and developing numerous websites, applications, logos and hand drawn illustrations.

Over the past 8 years I have worked remotely from Barcelona (5 years) and Brittany (3 years). My continuous output over this period has reflected a high degree of focus and self discipline.

Website design

Until the recent explosion of interest in mobile applications my main focus was on web design including eCommerce websites, Flash based walk-throughs, intranets, and online galleries. I am proficient in building relationships with clients and working with them to tight deadlines. Time estimation, time management and taking projects from brief to completion are all strong parts of my skillset.

User Interface Design

For the past year I have worked with a team developing applications for the iPhone. This usually starts out with sketches on paper to get a feel for what should be included when outlining an app's functionality. Then the basic design which once agreed on will be developed to show visual flow through the of the process of the app. Finally my part in the process stops when I cut up the graphics and hand them over to the developers.

Illustration

I have always been keen illustrator and have been fortunate enough to be able to incorporate this aspect of my skills to my professional career. Hand drawn llustrations can really bring a piece of work to life and add a more human element to the harsh vectors we have all grown accustomed to.
